About Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry By Albert Pile
The teachings of these Readings are not sacramental, so far as they go beyond the realm of Morality into those of other domains of Thought and Truth. The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite uses the word Dogma in its true sense, of doctrine, or teaching; and is not dogmatic in the odious sense of that term. Everyone is entirely free to reject and dissent from whatsoever herein may seem to him to be untrue or unsound. It is only required of him that he shall weigh what is taught, and give it fair hearing and unprejudiced judgment. Of course, the ancient theosophic and philosophic speculations are not embodied as part of the doctrines of the Rite; but because it is of interest and profit to know what the Ancient Intellect thought upon these subjects, and because nothing so conclusively proves the radical difference between our human and the animal nature, as the capacity of the human mind to entertain such speculations in regard to itself and the Deity.

Well written metaphysical philosophy. Useful for those who want to discuss these elusive topics and need a series of increasingly complex philosophical metaphors to frame ideas which are beyond the comprehension of most people. While this work resorts to long prose almost pathologically, it reaches it's points all the better for it and can be enjoyable simply for it's literary qualities. That being said, I found no positive reference to Lucifer despite what most people say, it actually condemns his pride at one point. The book is heavy on symbolism, and if you understand numerology it should be easier to access the pages you seek. There's a lot going on here, probably more than I picked up. Scottish Rite Freemason's may follow Lucifer but they don't admit it in this book so far as I can tell, I'll read it a few more times and post updates on this review. Pretty much everything negative I've heard about it online has been misquoted or taken out of context, I'm not exonerating Freemasons just reporting facts.Product details

Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry By Albert Pile Illustrated Albert Pile 9781542301671 Books Reviews
This is a nice read on Free Masonry.
A+
This copy of "Morals & Dogma" is far superior to other copys, of the "same" I've had the opportunity to read. Also, the quality of the book itself is "top notch". I look forward to many years of use !!!
I bought this book because so much has been written by Illuminati conspiracy theorists demonizing the Masons as Satan worshipers and Albert Pike in particular. The Taxil Hoax is a dangerous piece of work that continues to float around creating unfounded hatreds. The Illuminati are a historic reality. They truly did infiltrate the Masons in 1776 and apparently continue to work to replace governments with their own fascist leadership. They are not the Masons however, and Albert Pike is a man of wisdom with insights that should be shared. It is a wonderful tribute to Albert Pike and the Masons that it has been shared in "Morals and Dogma." Albert Pike is not a "Satanist" to be feared, unless you are an Illuminati Satanist. I highly recommend this opportunity for an education in both the truth about who Pike was and a mind expanding perspective on human morality.
A well written, dissertation regarding the philosophical justification and purpose of the 33 Degrees of Scottish Rite Order of Free Masonry. The book provides an in depth analysis of those qualities necessary in a person and the purpose of those qualities to achieve specific degrees. For example, what is necessary to achieve the degree "Of The Elect"?
Its a very large book. Its filled with information. at the beginning you'll find yourself nodding and agreeing with the author. at the end you'll wonder what the heck you're reading.
Maybe I didn't read the description closely enough, but this version is ONLY THE FIRST THREE DEGREES. It is not the full original version of Pike's Morals and Dogma, which covers all 32 degrees. I don't know why this version is even being sold, as it is only a very small portion of the original work. I thought I was getting Pike's Morals and Dogma. This is disappointing, why is only part of a book being sold?
